Samoczynne ściemnianie ekranu w laptopie

Mam problem z Thinkpad R50e. Czasami ( i to jest najdziwniejsze, że nie ma reguły) przy wylogowywaniu do kdm,wyłączaniu i screensaverze ekran się ściemnia i tak już zostaje. W innych dystrybucjach tego nie miałem. Nie wiem gdzie szkać przyczyny.

Debian ma małe problemy z KDM. Przynajmniej u mnie miałem takowe :) Zawieszanie przy wylogowaniu itp. Usunąłem KDM.
