Ekran startowy i jego zmiana w Debianie Squeeze

Witam.
Zainstalowałem sobie Debiana Lenny bez środowiska graficznego po czym od razu go aktualizowałem do Debiana Squeeze a następnie zainstalowałem środowisko graficzne KDE4. To by było tyle na wstępie, a teraz do rzeczy. Chciałbym zmienić ekran powitalny (ang. bootsplash) w swoim laptopie.
Zainstalowałem splashy ale niestety nie przypadł mi do gustu ponieważ działał lekko mówiąc średnio, potem spróbowałem usplashy, który niestety działał podobnie.
Znalazłem też coś takiego jak fbsplash ale niestety nie mogłem go uruchomić ze względu braku pakietu splashutils. W repozytorium, był tylko pakiet splashutils-initramfs, który nie chce się zainstalować ponieważ mówi, że potrzebuje pakietu splashutils, którego nie ma w repozytorium.
Zdecydowałem się na skompilowanie jajka z łatką ekranu startowego, ale niestety nic, ponieważ pakietu bootsplash też nie ma w repozytorium, arepozytoria dotyczące jego już dawno wygasły.
Zatem mamy 4 programy do zmiany ekranu startowego:splashy
usplash
fbsplash
bootsplash

Moje pytanie brzmi jak zainstalować bootsplash albo fbsplasha pod Debianem Squeeze?

Oczywiście że czytałem ale to oznacza że projekt "bootsplash" nie jest już rozwijany i zastąpił go nowy projekt o nazwie "splashy"?
Dodałem repozytorium fbsplash ale niestety nadal po wydaniu polecenia:
sudo apt-get install splashutils
otrzymuje tylko to co wyżej napisałem.

Witam.
Przepraszam za post pod postem. Spróbowałem jeszcze od nowa, pobrałem płytę Debiana (Squeeze) z KDE4, zainstalowałem system na nowo i przystąpiłem do dzieła tak jak to było opisywane w poradniku.
Najpierw dodałem repozytoria do /etc/apt/sources.list, potem wykonałem:
aptitude update
następnie:
aptitude search splashutils
po czym
aptitude install splashutils
I niestety błąd. Log załączam poniżej.
Wie ktoś może jak zainstalować ten nieszczęsny splashutils pod Debian Squeeze?
